About Foilface

Moon-eyed, beautifully misshapen and soaked in booze, Manchester’s newest bunch of musical outlaws, Foilface, have arrived just in time to relieve you of those bitter recession-clad/post-election/just-bust-up-with-your-squeeze blues.

Mancunian melody-fisters, Foilface, are the product of a multitude of scuzzy, madness-ridden, and incredibly worthwhile sessions at The Bunker Recording Studio over recent years, and they have now followed up their debut EP “Jean-Claude Naive” with the release of their five-track and numerically accurate “EP2”.

The Foilface world is a sprawling gutter belch of nipple piercing dizziness and delight. A fandango through an ear buzzingly intrepid range of styles that bum scurry their way through alt-rock abandon, plucking prog-rock dandelions from the cracked paving shudder of post-punk growls and folktronica lullabies, before sodding off home for an introspective cup of tea and a marmite biscuit.

Two EPs done, Foilface’s debut album, “Till Then Amigo”, is nearing completion and looks set to arse pinch widows like a slack-macked 70’s sex beast some time very, very soon. To say the album is, “the perfect antidote to teenties filth-hole lobotomy pop bobbins”, is to hit the truth directly on the head with a large hammer made of bones.

Foilface are fast becoming something of a musical workhorse, producing a sweaty boiler room’s worth of musical madness every few months. They have tunes. You have ears. Get involved…
